THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Shiva Restaurant Restaurant Review:
The food here is adjustably spicy, so if you cant handle the heat, let your server know. Sample the naan, the tandoor-baked Indian flatbreads, either plain or the onion, garlic or other versions. The potato samosas are plump, deep-fried pockets, aromatic and hardy, accompanied by sweet mint chutney. Tandoori chicken and fish are tender and juicy, perfectly complemented by a creamy yogurt raita. The lamb curry is not an Americanized adaptation; delicate chunks of meat are smothered in piquant curry spices and served with steamed basmati rice. Lassi, a cooling yogurt- or buttermilk-based drink, may accompany or follow a meal. A few full-bodied wines from a short list may complement the bold flavors exploding out of the tiny kitchen, but ice-cold Indian Kingfisher beer reigns as our first choice for alleviating this alimentary arson.
