Shuang Cheng Restaurant Review: Located near the University of Minnesota, Shuang Cheng is Minnesota's little outpost of New York's Chinatown. Seafood is its specialty; a preview of the mastery is written on the dry erase board on the back wall, which can describe anything from lobster and crab to scallops and oysters. Try the soft-shell crab in black bean sauce or ask for a whole walleye to be brought to your table. When we’re not in a particularly seafood-y mood, we order the dried orange peel chicken or Szechwan beef. But for the true Shuang Cheng experience, you’ll do well to put your night in the hands of your waiter. Despite his seeming indifference, he never fails to bring the perfect blend of dishes. |
