THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES sidebar Restaurant Review:
In the heart of Beverly Hills, sidebar is a great excuse to go out for a drink and mingle with a clientele as chic as the city itself. This lively bar also provides an opportunity to soak up the ambience, architecture and a bit of the food of its companion Wolfgang Puck restaurant, CUT, at a fraction of the price. Designed by Getty Center architect Richard Meier, sidebar is done in the same sleek, modernist style as CUT, just across the hall. Sip a classic cocktail (e.g. French 75, mai tai) or house specialty (we like the elderflower martini and blueberry-basil punch) while enjoying some prime people-watching. A menu of upscale snacks includes tempura onion rings with paprika-saffron aïoli, addictive Gruyère gougères, prosciutto-and-manchego cheese sandwiches, and mini Kobe sliders.
