| Sidney Street Café, tucked into a quiet corner of south St. Louis, continues to have some of the most loyal diners in town. Someone’s always getting engaged here or celebrating a romantic occasion. In the past several years, the restaurant's image as a St. Louis classic---that serves the classics---has tipped toward seasonal and local preparations, but it remains a fine place for steak (whether prepared traditionally or graced with wasabi). Co-owner/chef Kevin Nashan doesn’t limit himself to any one region or cuisine, so you can find buttermilk chicken with red eye gravy alongside Hawaiian opah swimming in pumpkin-lemon grass broth. |
