Singh Thai Restaurant Review: Taking over an ill-fated restaurant location, the owners of Singh Thai are hoping to capture the locals with a menu that’s Thai with a contemporary twist. But management faces several distinct problems: Lake Anne out of season does not invite casual strollers and the food lacks the genuine Thai spirit. You’ll find both a lamb and a duck dish served with Merlot sauce, both nontraditional dishes. On the other hand, the Thai chef produces such standards as pad thai and drunken noodles. One may also fuel up with the unique french-fried tofu: sticks of firm tofu fried and served with a peanut sauce. The dessert selection is limited to in-season mango with sticky rice and a choice of ice creams. |
