THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Slabtown Ribs & BBQ Restaurant Review:

Your first glance at this spot with a smoker out front provides a clue as to the essence of the place. Slabtown's chef/owners are serious about barbecue, so serious that they close on weekends to leave their schedule open for barbecue competitions (of which they've won a fair percentage and have ribbons to prove it). The menu is bare bones, or more accurately, bones with tender, smoky meat on them. You'll find all the regular suspects: pork shoulder, brisket, pork spareribs, sausage and chicken, all cooked with minimal saucing. You may add three sauces (Kansas City classic, Texas hot and Carolina-style mustard) at the table. Sides are perfunctory, covering the usual bases of greens, beans, mac ‘n’ cheese and homemade biscuits (the best option). The pecan pie is pretty good, too.
