Snappers Restaurant Review:

Defining the quintessential locals’ spot (barely requiring shoes, ultra-laidback), Snappers is a good place to listen to live acoustic music (or visit for the Sunday jazz brunch) and snack on such coastal bar food as Mexican shrimp cocktail or (for the best story to tell people back home) the gator bites. On the lighter side, the trio of ceviches includes a conch version. The restaurant also serves comfort food like beer-battered fried seafood, a mahi Reuben, and burgers and steaks for hungry fishermen looking to eat anything but fish. Don’t come with gourmet expectations, but go with the flow and find yourself rewarded with a local’s state of mind. Of course, a Key Lime Colada or Snapper’s Island Punch might help things along, too.
