| Bright orange walls dotted with local artwork make an engaging backdrop for the hip, young crowd that populates this unpretentious Federal Hill café. Comfort food is part of the draw. Offerings like chicken potpie, macaroni and cheese, and meatloaf muffins are always on the scribbled chalkboard menu, along with a good number of vegetarian entrées. There's usually a seafood dish or two as well, like fresh broiled mahi mahi with pineapple salsa, and regulars look forward to the steak specials. The kitchen sometimes overreaches, but with entrées averaging in the teens, it's worth the gamble when you're in the mood for an arty, casual, upbeat meal. Beer and wine are served. The location is an easy stroll from the bright lights of the Inner Harbor or the funky charms of Federal Hill. |
