Sokolowski's University Inn Restaurant Review: Sokolowski's --- originally a food stand that served hungry steelworkers --- is a Cleveland legend. Regulars and first-time visitors alike load up on walleye dinners and Lake Erie perch platters, while pot roast hides under blankets of home-style gravy. Mind you, the fresh bratwurst is some of the best in town. There's a salad bar, too, but no one cares; once you're halfway through your first sautéed pierogi, you'll all but forget there's such a thing as lettuce or carrots. If you have room for dessert, the homemade pies, cakes and rice pudding are noteworthy. Chase your meal with a Polish beer, and enjoy the piano player while reveling in the old Cleveland atmosphere. All food is served cafeteria-style, so be prepared to grab a tray and make some decisions.
