THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED South Beach Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: Warm up with chef John Richardson's Florida Coast cooking at the larger, expanded South Beach restaurant. Moved around the corner to this address, Richardson offers a slightly larger menu and an upstairs bar for happy hours and more. But fans of his recognize that his cooking only improves over time. His signature dishes include a Cuban black bean soup touched with hints of fresh coriander, his SoBe torte appetizer with its chorizo sausage and other ingredients atop a flour tortilla, and his outstanding treatment of fish---including Florida's famed stone crabs. Desserts should include the SoBe Classic Deco Delight, a flourless chocolate torte with mocha ice cream, and his Key lime pie, but can anyone pass up a dulce de leche cheesecake? Fortunately, Richardson has acquired much larger quarters, as the crowds keeping growing.
