| This place can be fairly busy, especially at lunchtime, but if you can get a table, it's worth the wait. The food has had its ups and downs, but it is solidly Left Bank bistro and quite wonderful. There's a marvelous roast chicken with perfectly done french fries, although we have a hard time ordering anything but the boudin noir sautéed with apples and watercress. Another popular dish is the delicious pig salad, made with frisée, pork confit and apples in a Dijon vinaigrette. You'll find crispy, perfectly cooked sweetbreads, lamb shanks and an excellent crème brûlée for the finale. South Park also offers an affordable three-course prix-fixe menu each night. |
