Set in the trendy Glenwood South district, the scene at this bustling brewpub is dramatic, centered on the looming copper and stainless steel tower of brewery apparatus at the center of the airy, high-ceilinged dining room. The house-brewed beers, ranging from bitter, coppery Bombay Pale Ale to dark, toasty Friar Tuck's Oatmeal Stout, are varied and flavorful. And the food, for the most part, is smoky and generous, from blackened salmon to chewy-tender baby-back ribs to pork chops on a mound of bacon-spiked mashed potatoes to individual pizzas baked in a wood oven. The crowd gets bigger---and noisier---as the night wears on.
