Spasso Italian Grill & Lounge Restaurant Review: Spasso is the kind of place that beckons when you don’t feel like dealing with a see-and-be-seen scene. The setting is relaxed and casual, with exposed brick walls and a bar at the rear. The Monday to Friday happy hour with $4 martinis and wallet-wowing appetizers sets the tone for an affordable, satisfying evening. Everyone seems to be a regular here, eager to recommend his or her favorite dish. Antipasti of grilled calamari or polenta sauced with wild mushrooms can segue into some homemade pasta, perhaps linguine puttanesca. The waiters prepare the grilled whole fish tableside, or you can opt for the house special of zuppa di pesce. The tasty profiteroles and tiramisu are made in-house. |
