Spider House Patio Bar & Cafe Restaurant Review: Spider House Patio Bar & Café is the secret haunt of both young and old Austinites. Featuring lots of outdoor seating under the veranda or out on the tree-filled patio, this cool café becomes a feast of lights at night when the multi-colored Christmas strands illuminate the hodge-podge collection of sculptures and bathroom fixtures. Spider House is also a favorite among local vegetarians, who clamor for sandwiches like the vegetarian "cheesesteak" or the hummus pita. Pizzas, snacks and more sandwiches round out the menu. Frequent happy hours feature specials on pitchers of Lone Star, the national beer of Texas, as well as other well drinks.
