THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Splendid Blendeds Cafe Restaurant Review:

Oh, what a silly name, you say. We agree. It’s said to represent the blend of sauces and cuisines crammed into this tiny enclave of ambitious gastronomy on busy Atlantic Avenue. The interior is a nod to the Caribbean, with stucco walls and Haitian paintings. Service is uneven. Fortunately, the food reigns here. We enjoy the quesadilla appetizer, uniquely stuffed with smoked duck and wild mushrooms. Notable mains include Pahoa chicken, marinated with Jamaican jerk spices, and a good grilled yellowfin tuna. We also recommend the dense, flourless Belgian chocolate torte adrift on a puddle of cappuccino crème anglaise. Come to mingle a little, people-watch a little and eat a lot.
