If a restaurant does a good job with its lunch buffet, it will probably do a better job with a full dinner menu. This is true of Star, where the $5.95 lunch buffet offers meaty and moist tandoori chicken, tender chicken tikka, beef vindaloo, lamb bhuna and sides such as sag paneer (spinach and cheese) and fragrant basmati rice pilaf. Our satisfying experience lured us back for a dinner of melt-in-your-mouth tandoori fish, gingery Bengali fish balls and whole leg of Bengali-style lamb.
