Station Restaurant Review: The space currently occupied by Station has been unfriendly to restaurants in the past, but this East Quogue eatery appears to be here to stay. Owners Rafe Worthington and Marina Rutherfurd have concentrated on giving the place a cozy atmosphere that manages to be both homey and elegant. Meanwhile, partner and chef Lucia Soria brings her native Argentine cuisine to the menu, with dishes like grilled octopus and a breaded pork milanesa, as well as a house-made chimichurri served with the rib-eye. Not all dishes hail from South America; several seafood-heavy appetizers, small plates and salads are also possibilities, and mains run the gamut --- from an Asian-marinated chicken to braised local duck leg. Desserts wouldn't be complete without dulce de leche, here in the form of a tartlet. The portion sizes are uncharacteristically small for the area, though quality makes up for it. The drinks menu is varied, too, and features cocktails --- known as “Jollifications” --- and a small selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle, surprisingly devoid of options from the chef's native country, though a few local North Fork picks are on offer.
