Steve's Diner Restaurant Review: The second-floor food court of the Place St. Charles high-rise office building hosts this casual Central Business District cafeteria. Drawing a cadre of regulars, including office workers and the downtown power set alike, the utilitarian dining area is as bright and spotless as ever. Guests tuck into such dishes as the Full Rooster breakfast composed of grits, eggs, bacon and toast, while the beef brisket remains a midday favorite, served with a choice of ever-changing sides. You can also opt for an authentic kosher hot dog, a huge over-stuffed fried shrimp po’ boy, or choose from a selection of more than a half dozen entrée salads. The sweet touch is limited to house-made brownies and cookies. |
