Stockpot Broiler Restaurant Review: Along a traffic-clogged road from the massive Washington Square Mall and adjoining the Red Tail Golf Course, the Stockpot might not seem a like a candidate for gourmet cuisine. But prepare to be surprised. It’s a popular place for large gatherings and banquets with a picture window overlooking a verdant golf course. In the dining room, settle into an overstuffed chair to peruse the menu and wine list. The former offers predictable Pacific Northwest choices such as crab cakes, steak and prime rib, as well as some global favorites: Yucatan chicken, fish tacos, coconut almond prawns, beef stroganoff and paella. The latter contains an interesting selection of dessert wines. There's a hearty happy hour menu, too, which is perfect for après-golf festivities. Consider stopping in for Sunday brunch, which features an array of omelets, eggs Benedicts, pancakes, burgers, and even a seafood salad, plus an all-you-can-eat fruit and pastry bar. The experience is complemented by sophisticated servers and a hefty dinner tab typical of any metropolis.
