THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sullivan's Irish Pub & Restaurant Restaurant Review: Unlike most “Irish” eateries, Sullivan’s is neither chain nor cheesy. The décor leans to vintage Guinness signs and other pub paraphernalia; there is also a pot-belly stove, a stone archway, and dozens of books lining the walls. Irish cheddar dip, shepherd’s pie and hearty Guinness beef stew---a congregation of potatoes, carrots, onions, parsnips and, of course, beef with a little Guinness in the broth---make this bar and grill a neighborhood favorite. The Irish boxty here is also notable, with the shrimp and scallop being a favorite among most patrons. Irish music is sometimes available on weekend nights; sporting events are broadcast in the restaurant’s large bar area. |
