Not the most authentic, but tasty Thai fare nonetheless.

While this Virginia-Highland hotspot may not be the most authentic of the Atlanta Thais, it’s certainly one of the most popular. Yuppie crowds fight for elbow room, both during the wait at the bar and at tables packed as tight as a tin of sardines. Wood floors and a pressed tin ceiling do little to muffle the din. The food, however, is worth the endurance test. The searingly spicy larb tempered with cabbage leaves and the fresh basil rolls are our favorite starters. Try the pad thai, with its fine balance of shrimp and spices and a light hand with the coconut milk. Dinner here is fun if you arrive early, but lunchtime, with the sun streaming through the windows and significantly fewer hungry bodies, is our favorite time to enjoy the fare.
