Sushi Kim Restaurant Review: When Korea-born Kim arrived in Pittsburgh, he opened a tiny restaurant with a four-seat sushi bar. Since then, in stages, he has purchased the building next door, added a second story, extended the sushi bar to 16 seats, and debuted an upstairs all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue. Fresh, well-prepared sushi and sashimi come in various combination platters and boats of all sizes. You’ll also find cooked Korean dishes on the menu, but the cook-it-yourself barbecue buffet operates on Friday and Saturday after 4 p.m. or by special reservation. Situated between the Strip District and Downtown, Sushi Kim has an eclectic clientele comprised of professionals, dating couples, students, artists and athletes.
