Swami's Cafe Restaurant Review: Located across the road from the famous Swami’s surf break, this little café powers out heart-healthy food. The burritos bulge with black beans, eggs and avocado; tofu and soy cheese are readily on hand for vegetarians and vegans. Heaping huevos rancheros or organic multi-grain waffles are good after a morning surf session. The Acai Bowl, Swami’s-style, is a massive pile of raspberries, blueberries, boysenberries, bananas, strawberries and homemade granola served with super antioxidant acai in a sherbet form, with bee pollen and coconut shavings on top. Wheat grass shots are available, too. Lunch brings whole-wheat wraps encasing Caesar salad with chicken and Spanish rice, or ahi tacos with crunchy cabbage and avocado. Smoothies, freshly blended juices or wheat grass shots add a healthy punch to your day. Vegetable stir-fry, garden burgers and curry tofu bowls all make for nice evening meals.
