 "Chic" is the word for this uptown restaurant where tapas reign supreme. It's a go-to hot-spot before or after a film at The Charles Theater next door or a play at The Everyman Theatre a few doors down. It's also worth a trip on its own for the sophisticated fare and the enticing vibe. Tapas Teatro is the dream child of Quayam Karzai, owner of the Helmand, and his partner, Mary Ellen Massi. In true tapas style, little plates rule, supported by a decent cast of friendly, well-priced wines. On the docket are grilled calamari with the piquant edge of slivered peperoncini, lamb chops with rhubarb barbecue sauce, a classic Spanish paella, and much more.
