THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Taqueria Corona Restaurant Review: HURRICANE KATRINA: this establishment is currently closed. For a New Orleans Travel Update as well as resources, information and help click here. Marinated pork, beef, chicken and shrimp are always sizzling on Taqueria Corona's grills. Blended with chopped onion and a good and peppery pico de gallo sauce, they fill the tacos that give the place its name and its burritos and flautas. All should satisfy a Tex-Mex fanatic's tortilla habit. For kickers there are a homey rice pudding and flan and a passable sangría. Combination platters, loaded with frijoles and yellow rice, are a skinflint's delight. In fact, everything at Taqueria Corona is priced to sell. You can wolf down a meal at either the counter or at a table in the colorful, folksy dining rooms.
