Taqueria del Sol Restaurant Review

: A renovated once-dull urban commercial space provides a bright environment for this unit of Taqueria del Sol, which draws area office workers for lunch; long lines begin queuing up about noon. A soft flour tortilla wraps the assorted proteins, many of which are cross-cultural, and cost a little over two bucks. For instance, the Memphis taco features smoked pork topped with spicy jalapeño coleslaw and a tequila-laced barbecue sauce. Another piles pieces of fried chicken breast atop lettuce and tomato, dressed with jalapeño mayonnaise. Soupy turnip greens have a good hit of heat to them, and make a great side dish. Add the well-seasoned beans, and your meal is complete. Or savor the refried beans in an enchilada, to be finished with one of three sauces --- lemon cream for vegetarians. Get the natilla for dessert. This is a good tequila spot, although decent brews, a few respectable wines and other spirits also are available.
