Chef Gigi Machet sets a cheery tone in this sunny café. The menu features simple French fare, such as the open-faced sandwiches for which the place is named. Choose from a variety of salads, sandwiches and entrées that range from predictable to sublime. One excellent reason to dine here is the tartiflette, a baked concoction of potatoes, bacon, onions and cream topped with Reblochon cream that is delicious and filling. Gigi's cooking is as unpretentious and charming as her restaurant.
