You don’t have to drop a bundle to eat in the sleek 30-seat Tasting Bar located within Lumière restaurant. Most go for the classics, half a dozen scaled-down affordable dishes that include squash ravioli in a silky truffle butter; sablefish marinated in saké and maple syrup; and a rich mac ‘n’ cheese, creamy with cheddar, Emmental, blue cheese, pecorino and a smattering of Irish bacon. Top it off with pink praline ice cream or a tray of diet-be-damned petits fours.
