 The Tasting Kitchen Restaurant Review: The Tasting Kitchen, which took over the short-lived AK Restaurant + Bar, has capitalized on its Abbot Kinney Boulevard location and cultivated a bustling social scene. The vibe is hip but unpretentious. Diners can choose from various dining areas---the patio, main dining room, bar with communal tables or upstairs loft. Start with a salad of radicchio, lemon and Lucques olives or the kitchen selection of meat and cheese. Chef Casey Lane changes up the farm-to-table "bill of fare" often, but main dishes might range from ravioli with bacon and goat cheese to halibut with morels and prosecco butter. Cap off the meal with tiramisu or peach cobbler and a cup of San Francisco's famed Four Barrel Coffee. The Tasting Kitchen is also a good place just to stop in for a drink, such as a selection from the simple, creative wine list or "gentlemen's list" of classic cocktails. |
