| Despite its hotel address, Tavern 17 can stand up to any friendly neighborhood bar and grill in town. Just off the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel lobby, this airy, comfortable spot includes a large central bar and a wall of wine from the restaurant's copious list. Small and large plates range from an ahi tartare topped with glistening tobiko to grilled flatbread pizzas, burgers (organic beef, turkey, bison, portobello) and sliders (try the short rib). A respectable crispy sea bass arrives bathed in a lemon grass broth, and tasty crab cakes are paired with spring pea risotto. Or opt for one---or three---of the gourmet sliders, from tuna and bison to the BBBALT: bacon, bacon, bacon with avocado, lettuce and tomato. The bar is always lively, a fun place to chat and chow. Live jazz is featured on the weekends. |
