Tea Lounge, Las Vegas, NV

Tea Lounge Restaurant Review

: Guests would be hard-pressed to find a tea house with better views than those offered through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas Tea Lounge located on the 23rd floor between the Sky Lobby and the Mandarin Bar. High-quality teas accompanied by scones, croissants and cupcakes are served by the professional staff throughout the day. In the afternoons, guests can enjoy a classic English afternoon tea with scones, imported clotted cream, house-made marmalade and jam, and tea sandwiches like smoked salmon and cucumber, Black Forest ham and vegetarian options. We enjoyed the Misaki blooming tea with its hints of strawberries, but the sights of the Las Vegas strip below made us miss much of the actual blooming, which takes place in a clear glass pot positioned over a candle. The Misaki tea claims to promote detoxification and body hydration, which can prove handy during a Vegas getaway. But if visitors prefer hair of the dog, tea cocktails are served after 5 p.m., including the Tea-tini made with Bourbon, chilled Jasmine Pearl tea, apple juice and agave nectar.
