Tengda Asian Bistro Restaurant Review: Tengda’s menu juggles quite a mix: Chinese and Japanese standards (including selections from a sushi bar and a hibachi) plus specialties of Thai, Malaysian and Vietnamese cuisines. While the restaurant isn't Greenwich's most accomplished, it is a reliable, local favorite. The Chinese menu includes popular Americanized selections like General Tso's chicken that has the right balance of sweet, tart and spicy flavors, and wok-fired fried rice. More traditional choices, like stir-fried chicken with ginger and scallion or whole red snapper in Thai chili sauce, ensure there are dishes to satisfy experienced palates. Also available is Chilean sea bass, shrimp, scallop, salmon and Asian vegetables in a mild coconut curry sauce. The modern setting --- with earth tones and soft lighting --- combines the warmth of a traditional bistro with an Asian flair.
