 Tennessee Red's Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review: A fine place for hanging out with a group, this friendly, neighborhood rib joint uses a pure mesquite fire for cooking up its tender eats. But Tennessee Red’s is so much more than ribs. The bustling bar scene exudes rec room charm with plenty of sports-blaring TVs, pool, pinball, karaoke, places to play cards and chess, and a jamming jukebox---plus strong cocktails and local microbrews galore. Outside, a few picnic tables stand on the sidewalk for warmer days. But the real heat is in the ribs, wings, chicken, catfish and shrimp. The side dishes are mighty fine as well, from the gumbo to the deep-fried broccoli to the oyster shooters. |
