Texas Cattle Co. is all about meat. Meals start with a bowl of popcorn. Appetizers are traditional, like potato skins, buffalo wings and a guilty pleasure called “Armadillo Eggs” --- jalapeño peppers stuffed with cream cheese then deep-fried. The round-up of food ranges from burgers and sandwiches to salads and a daily soup. The Texas tri-tip sandwich comprises sliced meat on a garlic roll with grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. Also good are the tender baby-back ribs topped with barbecue sauce. Eight beers are on tap, including a few local brews, and there’s a small wine list. The interior is covered with Texas paraphernalia, such as the small toy train circling above. If the booths and tables inside don't suit you, consider the large outdoor patio.
