Thai Elephant Restaurant Restaurant Review: From hot-and-sour soups to curries and pad thai --- all the classic flavors and dishes of Thai cuisine are present. Among our favorites are the pumpkin curry (Japanese squash in a red coconut curry), the spicy drunken noodles, and the just-sweet-enough garlic and pepper pork ribs. This is a great place to go meatless; pan-fried tofu chunks are generously portioned, and the vegetables are varied and appropriate for each dish --- cabbage, carrots and often asparagus. For dessert, there’s sweet sticky rice with mango, and green tea or coconut ice creams. Thai and domestic bottled beers and a couple local wines are available, or go for one of the frosty draft beers.
