As solidly Greek-American as you’ll find anywhere, this mom-and-pop restaurant has served the DC metro area for years, moving from one Rockville location to this hard-to-find site in a neighborhood shopping mall. Sundays are brunch days, when the kitchen displays a table dressed with typical breakfast items: french toast, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, sausage patties and fried potatoes. But mixed in are some Greek dishes: baked chicken, fava beans in tomato sauce, hummus, pita loaves and stuffed grape leaves. Dropping by midweek? The lunch or dinner menus offers abundant choices of pasta dishes, sandwiches, salads and pizzas, plus those selections marked as “Theo’s Greek Specialties.” These include shish kebabs, dolmades, moussaka and pastichio, to name a few. While you may not find any cutting-edge fare, you will be satisfied with the selection of wholesome cooking.
