Three Doors Down Cafe & Lounge Restaurant Review: This pleasant, if somewhat noisy spot, just off of busy Hawthorne Boulevard, offers a classic Italian menu with some imaginative twists. As a stop for drinks and small plates, it's also a fun destination. Bartenders offer friendly chats and appealing drinks, many with an Italian influence, such as a Negroni or an Amalfi made with limoncello. Pair it with the burrata, rosemary ham and quince butter flatbread for an appetizer. Menu mainstays include tortiglioni with vodka sauce and sausage, tomato-olive lasagna, or fettuccine with seafood diavolo. While pastas are the most popular dishes, we also suggest trying entrées such as a grilled cocoa- and coffee-crusted pork tenderloin, or pan-roasted wild salmon with chanterelles and tarragon beurre blanc. For dessert, you won’t go wrong with the crème caramel or the banana cream pie. There's also a decent wine list.
