Tiki's Grill & Bar Restaurant Review: If you have a soft spot for tiki-themed décor, potent tropical cocktails and fresh seafood served with an ocean view, you will like Tiki's. Located on the second floor of the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, the restaurant is popular with island visitors and locals who, especially on weekends, come in droves to enjoy the reasonable prices, live local entertainment, and hopping bar scene. Chef Ronnie Nasuti's influence is most seen in the entrée selection, with more refinement in the seafood and farm-to-table flavors married with Tiki's signature island influences. Raw pupu (appetizers) such as ahi tataki, tartare or poke are made with fish fresh from the morning's auction and highlighted on the menu. If you prefer heartier fare, try the Kahalu'u Smoke Meat appetizer or prime rib poke. Coconut shrimp, Cajun-seared ahi and macadamia nut-crusted mahi are offered, but we suggest looking to the specialties for dishes from Nasuti, like lamb. Wines, beers and a selection of in-the-spirit drinks, like the fruit flavored margaritas and Hawaiian iced tea, are available.
