Timpano Italian Chophouse Restaurant Review: This stylish, sensual spot is rich with mahogany finishes and shaded chandeliers. Although Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett tunes play softly in the background, Timpano is not the place for an earlybird special or nostalgia, judging by the large crowd of young professionals who are regulars. Martinis are iced down in a cocktail shaker tableside, where a skillet of roasted Prince Edward mussels may be served as an appetizer with sticks of polenta. The chicken Marsala features a side of nutty-flavored Italian wheatberries blended with mushrooms and tomatoes as a youthful twist on an old favorite.
