Tin Fish is a bona fide culinary asset to suburban dining---and the dining scene as a whole. Colin Turner and Curtis Wierbicki know restaurants and also know how to put together an exciting menu of design-your-own seafood delights. The spacious dining room (with a bar up front) is noisy but nice; head for the oyster bar for fresh-shucked bivalves if you need a break from the crowd. Otherwise, start your meal with a pile of the seriously addictive buffalo shrimp or fresh tuna tartare. When choosing your preparation, it pays to go straight across the list. We especially like the Lake Superior whitefish, cornmeal-crusted and served on a mound of sherry-saturated vegetables and mashed potatoes. Service is efficient (most of the time) and friendly. There is a decent wine list that, like the menu, is fairly priced, but desserts are nothing special.
