Toast & Co. Restaurant Review: Breakfast and lunch have always been served daily at this update on the traditional American diner, but Toast also offers dinner two nights a week. The bright lime and orange color scheme is warm and inviting, and quirky prints and portraits of Andy Warhol round out the refreshing décor. Whether at the counter, in a booth, or around a table, the menu’s offerings deliver on taste and style. For breakfast, eggs Benedict is served with home fries mixed with peppers, and fluffy buttermilk pancakes pair with real Vermont maple syrup. Namesake toast options are varied, including Texas toast and french toast stuffed with blueberry cream cheese. For lunch, order a skirt steak sandwich with caramelized onions and mozzarella on French bread, a panini or a classic burger --- but don’t pass up the seasoned, crispy fries. As for dinner, comfort food classics abound, like three-cheese macaroni, buttermilk fried chicken served with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn, or chicken Kiev with corn pudding.
