Tognazzini’s Dockside Restaurant Restaurant Review

: At first glance, Tognazzini’s looks like one of those ubiquitous end-of-the-pier joints that dot coastlines everywhere. On the surface, even the menu is pretty standard: clam chowder, fish ‘n’ chips, shrimp scampi, some landlubber options, etc. However, this place is owned and operated by some longtime members of the local fishing community, so the fish is as fresh as fresh can be. As such, be sure to have a look at the daily specials board --- which will not only tell you the catch-of-the-day, but which boat caught it --- and take advantage of the local seasons of Dungeness crab, line-caught Pacific salmon and halibut. For dessert, see if there’s any olallieberry cobbler to be had. (The same family also operates the fish market in back and the smokehouse a couple doors down.)
