Tommy's Restaurant Review: Hipsters, locals, kids and academics fuel up at this Coventry Village institution where the large menu features lots of healthful sandwiches and pita pies. The décor includes natural wood, plant life and local art, and the ever-youthful-looking Tommy, the restaurant's owner and namesake, is almost always in the thick of things. The restaurant offers wraps, vegetarian burgers, hand-cut fries, freshly made soups and even vegan desserts. There is also a Lebanese influence --- lots of hummus and pita. Don’t miss the milk shakes in flavors like pumpkin pie, black raspberry chip, and peppermint stick. And, while the wait can be tedious, it pays off when you finally take a bite of that R.L.T. (roast beef with lettuce, tomato and mayo) or any other dish on offer.
