THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tre Enoteca Restaurant Review:
After a brief flirtation with perhaps too-inventive Asian, chef Jason Dady has returned to his Italian/contemporary roots in retooled Tre Enoteca, now with a more well-defined bar space. Pizzas with flair (think black cumin cream with prosciutto and mint) are complemented by lustrous lobes of house-pulled mozzarella and buffalo milk burrata. Pastas may feature a pistachio pesto, or come in squid ink iterations fresh from an extruder and topped with a lamb ragù. The less adventurous diner will still find comfort in wood-roasted chicken nested atop arugula with lardons and fingerling potatoes, or perhaps a plate of Wagyu meatballs and spaghetti. A just-good-enough wine list provide bottles to span the menu’s breadth. Other dishes hark back to the old Bin 555 and the still very much alive Tre Trattoria on Broadway. Back for an encore appearance is the enduring NutellaX3 tart.
