True Food Kitchen Restaurant Review

: Into the land of fried chicken and fatback comes the noted natural foods physician Dr. Andrew Weil as consultant for this restaurant chain that follows his anti-inflammatory dining regime quite closely. Arizona based Fox Restaurant Concepts developed True Food Kitchen, and the Lenox Square outpost is an open, bright and buzzing establishment. For openers, we like the mushroom and scallion miso soup, light and full of flavor. Turkey lasagna may strike some as very small-portioned (for $16), but we found it just right, with spinach noodles, tomato and cheese. Many dishes are vegan. For dessert, pear date cake is complemented by frozen Greek yogurt that retains lots of natural tang. There’s a decent wine list composed of organic or sustainable selections, but we enjoyed a hot drink called "The Natural" with ginger, citrus and agave --- perfect for a cold weather slump.
