Tuning Fork Restaurant Review:

Tuning Fork is one of those spots along Ventura Place that you might not notice on a Sunday morning as you ogle the produce at the Studio City Farmers Market. But look beyond the fruit and vegetable stalls and you’ll see a narrow restaurant bedecked in strands of tiny blue holiday lights. Enter into a cozy room filled with heavy wooden tables and chairs, and illuminated by skylights and mirrored walls. The beverage list is strong on craft beer, featuring a good assortment of IPAs and less-hoppy brews, along with an array of West Coast wines. Chef Jay Bedassie’s food menu includes truffle fries topped with fresh Parmesan. You’ll find jerk chicken, roasted sweet potato purée and garlic sautéed purple kale. You should also try the meaty, Asian-influenced arigato portobello burger, which has a surprise inside --- slices of tempura-fried avocado. Finish with a porter brownie with ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate. Live music is on tap Sunday and Monday nights, and at other times employees spin vinyl on the resident turntable.
