 Tuscany Restaurant Review: A breezy trattoria setting with hand-painted tiles, terra cotta-toned floors and a tree-shaded patio, coupled with the aroma of bread baking in a wood-burning oven, makes this a lovely choice for Italian dining. The wine list is extensive by Salt Lake standards, with hundreds of selections carefully chosen to match the Italian bistro cuisine. The food can be inconsistent, but the salads, wood oven-roasted meats like the boneless leg of lamb stuffed with ginger and dried cranberries, and herb-crusted beef carpaccio are standouts, as are the hearth breads and wood-fired pizzas like the roasted vegetable or cold smoked salmon. |
