Uncle Bub’s Restaurant Review: Built to resemble a roadside shack, this smoke-scented institution serves some of the best barbecue in the area. Combos are the way to go, so step up to the counter and pile it on with brisket, smoky ribs and tender pulled pork, adding on first-rate sides: creamy coleslaw, fried mac ‘n’ cheese and chili buoyed by bits of meat. Grab condiments from next to the counter --- there’s a wall of hot sauces, along with giardiniera, pickles and pickled jalapeños. Kids like the place, too, especially since they get a wooden coin to redeem for ice cream and “tattoos” on the way out the door.
