| This relatively tiny spot where diners sit elbow-to-elbow offers an inventive New American menu---go on a weeknight to enjoy a less frenetic dinner. A short starter list includes a salad of bitter greens dappled with mussels and coins of dense fingerling potatoes and drizzled with a tangy sauce gribiche loaded with fresh herbs. A pan-seared chicken breast gets a classic treatment with a red wine marinade and mushroom and orzo sides. Brined pork chops sit alongside plump cannelloni beans and rapini spiked with a juniper berry-infused butter. Expect comfort-style desserts such as apple crisp, vanilla ice cream and peach pie. |
