THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Urban Vine Restaurant Review:

Chef Michael O'Dowd blazed into the culinary spotlight during his ten-year reign at Kai in Chandler. At his very own restaurant, there’s a much more relaxed and affordable neighborhood theme. The concept --- “Kitchen, Hops, Grapes” --- emphasizes a tapas and entrée menu served alongside local and craft beers, inventive cocktails and boutique wines. Set in a 1920s renovated home with original wood floors and a cozy front porch, the décor is downright charming: walls are paneled with wine crate facings, and lamps are fashioned from salvaged industrial water pipes. As for the food, an artful salad of greens, including rocket arugula, is bolstered by curry-and-garam masala roasted beets, pecan soil, goat cheese, cucumber ribbons, cherry tomatoes, bacon nuggets and cider-lemon nectar. Then there are the signature dishes like mole-scented pulled pork with peach chutney, or jumbo lump crab cakes with pan-flashed kale, chipotle aïoli and grain mustard chutney.
